Cost Estimate
Accurate Cost Estimates Ensuring Transparent Vehicle Repair Processes
The amount of damage determines whether you are entitled to an expert opinion!
It’s entirely understandable that you want to put a car accident that wasn’t your fault behind you as quickly as possible, either by repairing it or replacing it in the event of a total loss. However, by requesting a cost estimate, you will unwittingly waive a large portion of your claims in the upcoming claim settlement.
Therefore, a cost estimate for the repair order to be issued at the garage and your rights as an injured party are often not the best solution.
- The opposing insurance adjuster won't tell you that, but we will.
- But what if the paint on a used car isn't actually that new? Are you still unsure about the condition of your used car after buying it?
The most important things about the damage assessment in brief:
- If you are innocently involved in a traffic accident, the opposing insurance company must cover the costs of the expert report above the minor damage limit.
- A cost estimate for a car after an accident is only considered if the damage is verifiable (!) minor (up to €750).
- A cost estimate specifies repair costs (hourly rates) and those for replacement parts. Damages such as loss of value, loss of use, and the preservation of evidence are not included.
- The cost of a car estimate is usually 10% of the repair costs. The opposing party's insurance company is generally liable for this.
